In a blog post on the Rockstar Games website, the duo are said to be in the middle of a criminal conspiracy in the state of Leonida.
“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them,” reads a Rockstar Games blog post.
“But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
The characters are individually spotlighted alongside some of the supporting cast. Jason Duval is said to want the easy life, while Lucia Caminos is described as a fighter who will do anything for family.
“Jason grew up around grifters and crooks,” the post continues. “After a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens, he found himself in the Keys doing what he knows best, working for local drug runners. It might be time to try something new.”
Lucia, meanwhile, used to live in Liberty City with her mum, and as shown in Trailer 1, was previously incarcerated in Leonida Penitentiary.
Other characters include Jason’s friend Cal Hampton, Vice City “legend” Boobie Ike, wannabe music mogul Dre’Quan Priest, the influencer pair of Real Dimez, bank robber Raul Bautista, and drug runner Brian Heder.
Real Dimez consist of Bae-Luxe and Roxy, who are signed to the record label owned by Dre’Quan Priest.
“Bae-Luxe and Roxy aka Real Dimez have been friends since high school — girls with the savvy to turn their time shaking down local dealers into cold, hard cash via spicy rap tracks and a relentless social media presence,” their description reads.
The website also gives fans a look at some of the locations players can explore in Leonida.
This includes Vice City itself, as well as Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park.
