Amazon Prime Day is an excluive sale for Prime members, running from Tuesday, July 8 until Friday, July 11. There are thousands of discounts available on everything from designer clothes and household appliances, to groceries and gadgets.

There are also hundreds of discounts on video games and accessories, not to mention hardware and retro gaming devices. I’ve picked out five of the best gaming deals from the latest Amazon sale, beginning with an incredible discount on the Atari 2600 Plus.

1. Atari 2600 Plus – Was £99.99, Now £38.88

The Atari 2600+ is a largely authentic reimagining of one of the company’s most iconic consoles.

It’s got the same delightfully old-fashioned wood-grain look as the original 2600, complete with fully functioning switches to power off, reset the console and even change games to black and white.

Best of all, however, is that the cartridge slot in the middle of the device isn’t just for show.

Indeed, this isn’t just another mini console with a selection of built-in games, but rather a fully functioning Atari console capable of playing original 2600 and 7800 cartridges.

It comes with a 10-in-1 cartridge of classic Atari games, including the likes of Adventure, Missile Command and Yars’ Revenge.

2. SteelSeries Arctis Gamebuds – Was £159.99, Now £118.74

Whether listening to music, playing the latest triple-A blockbuster, or creeping your way through an atmospheric survival horror game, the SteelSeries Arctis Wireless GameBuds are up to the task.

The easy to use app currently boasts 179 presets for lots of games, including Baldur’s Gate, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Elden Ring, Alan Wake 2, Red Dead 2, various Resident Evil releases and multiple CODs. That’s on top of music presets to showcase the usual mixture of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.

The microphone is also crystal clear, whether making calls when you’re out walking, or chatting with friends in multiplayer.

The GameBuds also boast around ten hours of playback per charge, and around 40 hours with the case.

3. Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Collector’s Edition – Was £144.99, Now £86.99

Shadow of the Erdtree is the highly-rated expansion to superb open-world role-playing game Elden Ring.

The game transports players into the Land of Shadow, where they will encounter monstrous new enemies and mysterious allies.

The Collector’s Edition contains a 46cm figurine of Messmer the Impaler, which is really impressive to look at, and is likely to increase in value as time goes on.

In addition to the statue of Messmer the Impaler, the Collector’s Edition comes with a code to access the DLC, as well as an exclusive Hardcover artbook and digital soundtrack.

It’s worth noting that you will need a copy of the original game to play the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Fortunately, Elden Ring is also discounted as part of Prime Day 2025, costing just £18.95 on PS5.

4. Arcade 1Up Marvel vs Capcom 2 Arcade Machine – Was £649.99, Now £360.98

If you’re a fan of fighting games, then there are few better than Marvel vs Capcom 2.

The game features more than 50 characters, including Capcom favourites such as Ryu, Ken, Mega Man, Captain Commando and Jill Valentine, as well as Marvel heroes and villains including Spider-Man, Hulk, Magneto, Wolverine, Captain America, Iron Man and Gambit.

Players select teams of three, with matches ending when an entire team has been wiped out. It also boasts some of the flashiest special moves and backdrops, which only adds to the fun.

The full-sized arcade machine also comes with seven additional games, including the original Marvel vs Capcom, X-Men vs Street Fighter and Marvel SuperHeroes.

5. ASUS ROG Ally Handheld Gaming Console – Was £504, Now £399

Steam Deck rival the ROG Ally is currently on sale for one of the cheapest prices we’ve seen for the past year. As part of Prime Day, it’s currently £399.99 on Amazon – and we doubt it is going to stay in stock for much longer.

The ROG Ally is a Windows 11 gaming powerhouse, which allows gamers to play all their favourite games on the go. The ROG Ally comes with the AMD Ryzen Z1 chip and can boost frame-rates while retaining excellent image quality.

It has a 120Hz refresh rate screen and FreeSync Premium installed. For those with battery life concerns, it has an 80Wh battery supply built-in for longer gaming sessions.
