The next wave of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games are about to be announced by Sony.
Consisting of multiple PS4 and PS5 games for Extra subscribers, as well as one or two classic games on Premium, the new PS Plus titles will be unveiled at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of June 11. The games will be playable on June 17.
Sony has already announced one of the Premium games, confirming that Deus Ex will join the service this month. Likewise, GTA 3 Definitive Edition joins Extra on June 10, while Control spinoff FBC Firebreak joins on June 17.
With multiple games still to be revealed, fans have been attempting to predict the line-up ahead of the announcement, and there’s a clear favourite.
Multiple fans on the monthly predictions thread over on Reddit believe Resident Evil Village will finally join Extra in June.
While Resident Evil Village is always a popular pick on the predictions thread, the recent announcement of Resident Evil 9 Requiem makes it much more likely.
With Resident Evil Requiem launching next February, bringing Village to the service now would give fans plenty of time to get up to speed.
“Set a few years after the horrifying events in the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 7 biohazard, the all-new storyline begins with Ethan Winters and his wife Mia living peacefully in a new location, free from their past nightmares,” reads the official description. “Just as they are building their new life together, tragedy befalls them once again.”
Other fans believe Resident Evil 4 Remake could join the service. It’s also worth noting that classic versions of Resident Evil 2 and 3 will be available for Premium subscribers this summer.
Other popular picks for PS Plus Extra include EA Sports FC 25, which was recently announced for Xbox Game Pass following the end of the football season. Expect something similar for PlayStation Plus soon.
Atomic Heart also receives multiple picks, which also makes sense given the announcement of a sequel.
Elsewhere, there are predictions for Lords of the Fallen, Jusant, The Crew Motorfest, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Terminator Resistance, Viewfinder, Devil May Cry 5, Cocoon, Stray, Nier Automata, Still Wakes the Deep, Hades, Pacific Drive and Lollipop Chainsaw.
In terms of first-party games, there are more picks for The Last of Us Part 2 and Until Dawn Remake.
Some of the more unlikely games include Lies of P, Wo Long Fallen Dynasty, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Alan Wake 2 and Street Fighter 6. There’s also a pick for Dragons Dogma 2, which is possible.
