Sunderland host QPR on Saturday in the final game of the regular season, with Regis Le Bris’ side looking for a positive result on the back of four straight defeats.
Le Bris and his squad headed for Portugal on the back of the weekend loss at Oxford and Le Fee says the stint in the sun has given Sunderland chance to take stock and draw a line under recent weeks.
And the Roma loanee says Sunderland will be looking to make a statement against QPR and sign off for the play-offs in style.
“Our standards are extremely high, and over the past few weeks, we haven’t quite hit those levels — either individually or as a team,” said the Frenchman.
“But with some huge games just ahead, we’ve got a real chance to put things right.
“On Saturday against QPR, we want to show a performance that properly reflects who we are.
“We know we’ve fallen short recently, but we’ll fight for every ball, we’ll battle, and we’ll be fully prepared for the two huge play-off games that lie ahead.”

After Sunderland secured their place in the top six with weeks, to spare, Le Bris chose to rotate his squad to ensure key players were fresh for the play-off campaign.
He reverted back to his full strength side at Oxford, with Le Fee playing on the left side of the attack in the absence of the injured Romaine Mundle.
Sunderland were heading back from Portugal on Thursday ahead of the visit of QPR on the final day, when the Black Cats will also discover who they’re playing in the play-off semi-finals.
Le Fee said: “Our trip to Portugal was important for us — it gave us time to reflect, reset, and learn.
“Recent results haven’t been good enough, and we know that.
“Every player knows their responsibility, but now is the time for us to stand together — players, staff, supporters — everyone.
“We can’t lose sight of the opportunity still in front of us. Massive games are coming quickly, and momentum can shift fast — we have to be ready when it does.”
