Jack Wilshere to be in charge of Norwich at Middlesbrough

Thorup paid the price for a poor run of results, with the Canaries slipping out of play-off contention after three straight defeats and just one win in their last 10 games.

Norwich are bottom of the form table, having picked up just six points from their last 10 games.

Assistant head coach Glen Riddersholm has left alongside Thorup, with Wilshere now placed in interim charge for the final two games of the season, the first of which is at the Riverside on Saturday.

He’ll be assisted by Tony Roberts and Nick Stanley.
