Rangers are currently managerless on the back of their second-place finish in the Scottish Premiership.

Davide Ancelotti, the son of Carlos, is currently favourite with the bookmakers to take charge, ahead of Steven Gerrard, who had a successful previous stint in charge of the Scottish giants.

Further information on Boro’s other friendlies is expected to be released over the course of the next week or two.

Boro are also expected to head out to Portugal for a pre-season training stint, as has been the case for the last couple of summers.
