The club submitted a request for approval to install the solar equipment on the roof of Rockliffe Park, its training ground.
An application, lodged with the council, details the proposed development as a roof-mounted solar PV installation. The club’s planning agent, Richard Morgan from IC Planning, confirmed that the installation will comply with all necessary permitted development restrictions.
This includes ensuring that the solar PV equipment will not protrude more than 0.2 metres beyond the plane of the roof slope and will not come within one metre of the external edge of the roof.
Furthermore, the total electrical generation capacity of all installed equipment will not exceed 50 kilowatts.
