Newcastle United v Ipswich Town Team News: Joe Willock starts

The Brazilian midfielder is not in the squad that will face Ipswich at St James’ Park because of a knee injury, with Joe Willock taking his place in the starting line-up.

Willock’s presence in the starting XI means the Magpies have changed their starting line-up for the first time in eight matches.

Eddie Howe is back in the dugout this afternoon after completing his recovery from pneumonia.

While Joelinton is not in the squad, Sven Botman is back in the matchday group after recovering from a knee injury.

Botman is on the substitutes’ bench alongside Anthony Gordon, who has still been unable to dislodge Harvey Barnes from the starting side, and striker Callum Wilson.

NEWCASTLE (4-3-3): Pope; Trippier, Schar, Burn, Livramento; Guimaraes, Tonali, Willock; Murphy, Isak, Barnes.

Subs: Dubravka, Ruddy, Botman, Wilson, Gordon, Krafth, Osula, Longstaff, Miley.
