Le Bris revealed that none of the senior players who played for the development squad in the first friendly at Gateshead on Saturday feature in his plans for the coming season.
That means Joe Anderson and Jay Matete are also available for transfer this summer.
Le Bris’ revelation doesn’t come as any real surprise, with all of the above either being allowed to go out on loan last season or spending the year on the fringes at the Stadium of Light.
Timothee Pembele is another Sunderland player who is expected to depart this summer, as is Pierre Ekwah, who is closing in on a permanent move to Saint Etienne.

While Le Bris couldn’t have been any clearer on his position with the senior players who were involved at Gateshead on Saturday, there are a group of other players, who were part of the first team squad for the second friendly at South Shields, whose futures are yet to be decided.
That includes Nectar Triantis, who is wanted by Hibs on the back of his loan spells in Scotland, as well as clubs in Europe and the MLS. And others such as the likes of Milan Aleksic, Harrison Jones and the fit-again Ahmed Abdullahi, who could potentially benefit from loan spells.
But Le Bris intends to wait until Sunderland have returned from the trip to Portugal in the coming week before he makes a decision on the best course of action with that group of players.
“We’ll see for every player,” said Le Bris, who was satisfied after seeing his side kick off pre-season with a 4-0 win at the 1st Cloud Arena, thanks to goals from Wilson Isidor, Romaine Mundle, Aleksic and Abdullahi.
“I told them that the first two weeks we are dedicated to connection. After that we’ll have to be clear.
“Some of them need game time but if it’s not possible for the squad in the Premier League it’s not necessary to stay here. We’ll decide early.”
On the back of this week’s revelation that defensive quartet Luke O’Nien, Aji Alese, Dennis Cirkin and Leo Hjelde are set to miss the first three games of the Premier League season, Le Bris confirmed his intention to strengthen at the back with new recruits in the coming weeks.
But as things stand, Dan Ballard, Jenson Seelt, Zak Johnson and Triantis – who has spent the last 18 months playing in midfield in Scotland – are the senior centre-back options available to Le Bris.
The head coach said: “For Nectar, he had a good season last season. He played well on loan.
“It’s the same for everyone, let’s use these two first weeks to understand where they are exactly. Then we will decide for everyone.”
However, his mind is already made up on the senior players who were involved at Gateshead, where Sunderland drew 2-2.
Asked whether they’re available to leave, he said: “Yes, absolutely. We split the squad with the players who really need to find game time.
“For the others [who were involved at Shields], it’s fair to say we need to assess their level right now, assess the squad and see after that.”
The vast majority of those who Le Bris confirmed can leave were out on loan last season, but Poveda only joined a year ago. However, the former Leeds winger didn’t start a single game and made just six substitute appearances in the league, and is now available for transfer.
