Brad Smith, from Royal Cromer Golf Club, clinched his second consecutive title at Ramside Hall’s Prince Bishops Course, finishing four shots ahead of the competition.

He said: “It’s awesome.
“I wasn’t too pleased with how I played on the final day but overall I’m very happy to bring the trophy back home for another year.”

Smith said: “I knew there were plenty of holes to go and some tricky holes out there, but Benji certainly came out the gates hot.
“I just told myself to stay patient and I got angry a few times, but I let that go quickly and moved onto the next shot to refocus.”

He said: “I’ll celebrate the win with a long drive home and going straight to bed.
“But yes, I’ll probably meet up with a few friends in the coming days and have some fun.”

Smith said: “I’m off to the US Adaptive Championship next week, and I’ll certainly be back next year to try and defend my title again.”
In third place, Scotland’s Martin Lonie finished on +16, edging out Heather Gilks, Aimi Bullock, and Gordon Mclay on countback.

The women’s net competition saw Coventry golfer Heather Gilks, playing off a 10 handicap, claim the title with back-to-back rounds of 83, finishing two shots ahead of her mother, Martine.
Gilks made three birdies in her second round, including one on the par-3 15th.

Bullock, playing off a 9 handicap, also shot 83 on both days and finished third on countback, while Ms Gilks’ mother Martine placed second.
In the men’s net competition, Bishop Auckland’s Stuart Skaife claimed victory after carding seven pars and two birdies on the final day to finish three shots ahead.
Skaife finished six under his 16 handicap on day two, edging out Ramside’s Jamie Smith, who finished three under his 13 handicap.
Adam Dalton (The Royal Jersey) finished third on two under, with Ireland’s Mark Clougherty just behind on countback.
Clougherty shot six under his 13 handicap on day one but slipped to fourth after a 77 on day two.
England’s David Reaney, who competed in last year’s European Disability Team Championship, finished fifth after a final round of seven under his 16 handicap.
Phil Allan of Oulton Hall recorded the tournament’s standout round, shooting eight under his 13 handicap for a gross score of 78.
In the Stableford Championship, Formby Hall’s Chris Speariett took top honours with 86 points over 36 holes.
He posted 45 points on day one and 41 on day two, finishing 11 points clear of runner-up David Sellner from the Czech Republic.
Ireland’s Gary Barrett finished third with 71 points.
Sue Matthews (Woodhall Hills) placed fourth, followed by Italian competitors Jacopo Luce, Alla Tanfoglio, and Joachim Holzner.
