Dennis Cirkin makes his first start since mid-March after returning to action from the bench at Oxford last week.
And Eliezer Mayenda is back in the starting XI after missing last week’s game due to concussion.
He replaces Wilson Isidor in the starting XI.
Dan Ballard is back on the Sunderland bench, with the plan for the centre-half to be introduced for the final half an hour.
Enzo Le Fee is again starting on the left side of attack, which is looking increasingly likely to be the case in the play-off semi-final first leg on Friday.
Romaine Mundle and Aji Alese aren’t involved but will resume training at the Academy of Light on Sunday.
