6 Patterson: Helpless for the goal and didn’t have much to do afterwards.
6 Hume: Solid defensively. Tried to drive Sunderland forward when he could.
6 Mepham: Couple of crucial first half interceptions. Replaced on the hour mark by the returning Dan Ballard, with Regis Le Bris now facing an interesting play-off dilemma.
6 O’Nien: Quiet for the most part after QPR’s early opener. Booked for a raised arm on Michael Frey.
5 Cirkin: Difficult return to the starting XI for the left-back. QPR’s winning goal came down that side. Will hopefully benefit from the match minutes.
5 Neil: Had one first half shot that was saved but otherwise quiet and on the fringes of the game.
5 Bellingham: Played in deeper midfield role. Couple of bright early darts forward but Sunderland’s midfield lacked spark.
5 Rigg: One class first half turn looked to turn defence into attack for Sunderland, but on the whole failed to get into the game.
4 Roberts: The attacker was anonymous on the right as Sunderland struggled to create chances of note.
6 Le Fee: Some classy first half touches and a couple of decent deliveries, but wasted out of position on the left.
5 Mayenda: Didn’t grasp his starting chance in final game before play-offs, though wasn’t helped by lack of service. One half chance in the first half.
