The Black Cats have partnered with hummel to release the equality shirt, with the club saying they want to deliver the message that “football is for everyone – both in the stadium and beyond”.
Sunderland and hummel want to champion equality, inclusion and diversity ahead of this weekend’s game, and both the club and the brand’s crests incorporate rainbow-colours accents.

Dan Neil, who took part in the promotional shoot alongside Jobe Bellingham and Matt Johnson, from Pride in Wearside, said: “We are collaborating with several LGBTQ+ groups for this weekend’s game to raise awareness of inclusivity.
“Sunderland AFC want everyone to feel welcome in every football stadium across the country, and we are looking forward to the occasion.”
The shirt is available to buy online and in store now, in both adult and junior sizes. The range also includes a reversible bucket hat.
