Blackwell Grange Golf Club youngest ladies champion crowned


Nixie Corcoran, a junior member at Blackwell Grange Golf Club, secured the title of Ladies’ Club Champion 2025 after two impressive rounds during the championship weekend.

“She’s an incredibly talented player but also carries herself with maturity and composure far beyond her years.

“She’s got a very bright future ahead.”

The pair finished level after 36 holes, forcing a sudden-death playoff in front of a crowd of members and supporters.

Both players delivered strong tee shots, but Nixie’s steady par clinched the title.

She said: “Nixie played superbly and deserved the win.

“It’s wonderful to see the next generation of talent coming through at Blackwell.”

She said: “It means so much to win here.

“Thank you to Anne for a great round of golf, and to now be the ladies champion is amazing.”

A club spokesperson said: “The achievement highlights the strength of Blackwell Grange’s junior programme and the club’s commitment to developing young talent, while honouring its traditions and community spirit.”

Meanwhile, four other juniors from the club are currently competing in the 2025 Champion of Champions World Championship at Lough Erne Resort in Ireland.
