Nintendo Switch 2 owners patiently waiting for Diablo 4 to arrive on the console may not have to twiddle their thumbs much longer. A prominent insider claims to have unearthed proof that the game will land on the Switch 2 nearly three years after it launched on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
Blizzard Games are reportedly gearing up for a major release on Nintendo’s latest system. That’s according to renowned insider Bilbil-kun, who says the Diablo 4 Age of Hatred Collection is coming to Switch 2. Writing for Dealabs Magazine, the investigator says it will be officially announced during BlizzCon 2026 in September 2026.
Diablo 4 Nintendo Switch 2 leaked release date and pre-orders
According to Bilbil-kun, the Diablo 4 Age of Hatred Collection will land on September 15. That date is just two days after BlizzCon 2026 ends on September 13, and pre-orders are expected to open during the event.
BlizzCon is of course Blizzard’s flagship showcase, which often includes major reveals and first looks at upcoming games. It is also possible that official confirmation comes during GamesCon, which happens in Cologne during the last week of August.
The Age of Hatred Collection includes the base Diablo 4 game as well as the Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred expansions. Dealabs reports that it’ll cost £62.99 and be available in both physical and digital editions.
However, Dealabs reports that the physical release will be following the GTA 6 route. Instead of including a cartridge, the box will simply have a code for a digital download inside.
Packing hundreds of hours of story content, two full expansions, and the latest patches into one £62.99 package makes the collection an attractive proposition for Switch 2 owners. Details on crossplay, performance and more are yet to be confirmed but the Switch 2’s performance capabilities will at least guarantee a smooth handheld experience.
Bringing the brutal, demon-slaying action of Diablo 4 to Nintendo’s next-gen platform is bound to be a massive commercial win for both Blizzard and Nintendo. It also fills a major RPG hole in the Switch 2’s games line-up during a crucial time for the industry.
The news follows earlier leaks that hinted at a Switch version of the game. In April, an Indonesian ratings board listed the Lord of Hatred DLC and included a Switch version and weeks later, a Taiwanese board also rated Diablo 4 for Switch 2 but quickly removed its listing.
