Haulage firm backs young racing driver Thomas Potter

Katem Logistics, based in County Durham, will be providing professional transport services for Thomas Potter, known as T Pot, and his race equipment.

This partnership is aimed at ensuring the young driver has the necessary transport infrastructure to compete at events across the UK.

The collaboration was highlighted at the Darlington Motorsport Show, where Katem Logistics unveiled two of its newly acquired Renault flagship trucks.

One of the trucks was wrapped in the branding of St Cuthbert’s Hospice, a charity supported by the company.

The public had the opportunity to view the trucks and meet Thomas and his sister, who showcased their collection of trophies.

Founder of Katem Logistics, John Davison, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday, attended the event to engage with families and share his stories about performance driving.

Thomas said he is keen to reciprocate the support received by assisting with fleet maintenance and helping to promote Katem’s presence in the motorsport industry.

He believes the collaboration will open up new commercial opportunities for the business, especially in motorsport logistics.

Thomas said: “This isn’t a one-way deal.

“I want to help grow Katem’s presence in the industry just as they’re helping me grow in my racing career.”
