Sharpley Golf Club, Seaham, has lodged a planning application with Durham County Council to build an additional ten bays on its current single-storey structure.
The new bays will cover an area of 201 square metres and will be constructed using timber cladding and pressed metal to match the existing design.
A new structure will add 223 square metres of non-residential floorspace to the club and will be operational from 6am to 9pm every day, including bank holidays.
The site, used as a putting area, shows no adverse ecological impacts, and a biodiversity net gain requirement has been addressed.
The site is not in a flood risk area, and water disposal will be managed using a sustainable drainage system.
Foul sewage will be disposed of via the main sewer.
