Former Tottenham youngster Tanganga is in-demand this summer, with the Black Cats, Leeds United and Burnley having all been linked with a move for the Millwall defender.
And Palace are now also said to be in the mix, with fresh reports from one national newspaper today claiming the 26-year-old has a £1.2m release clause in his contract.
Millwall could have sold Tanganga for a more significant fee in the January transfer window but opted to keep the centre-half in a bid to finish in the Championship play-off places.

The Lions just missed out and could now be dealt a blow by losing one of their star men for a cut-price fee.
But whether Palace firm up their interest in Tanganga could depend on Guehi’s situation.
Signing the 24-year-old remains a priority for Newcastle this summer after their failed pursuit 12 months ago.
Having seen a series of bids rejected for Guehi last summer, the Newcastle hierarchy are ready to return to the table in a renewed attempt to sign the Crystal Palace centre-half.
Palace were holding out for £70m last summer but might have to accept a lower sum in the coming window as Guehi enters the final year of his current contract at Selhurst Park. As things stand, he’s shown no desire to sign a new deal with the Eagles.
However, there was a twist earlier this week when reports emerged of fresh Arsenal interest in Guehi, with boss Mikel Arteta said to be keen to add depth and competition to his centre-half ranks this summer.
Palace are also said to have identified Sporting centre-back Ousmane Diomande as a potential replacement for Guehi.
As for Sunderland’s reported pursuit of Tanganga, strengthening at centre-half is one of the transfer priorities on Wearside this summer. Chris Mepham returned to Bournemouth after his impressive season-long loan at the Stadium of Light, and while Sunderland remain interested in re-signing the Wales international, they do have other central defenders on their radar.
Sunderland will also strengthen in midfield – where Jobe Bellingham now needs replacing – and up-front this summer, with the Black Cats prioritising quality over quantity as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.
