In a major political shakeup, Gov. Tim Walz has taken himself out of consideration for another term in this year’s election.
Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, who has been part of his Democratic ticket twice before, is continuing her run for an open U.S. Senate seat.
Flanagan is facing competition for the party nomination, and Republicans are serving notice that they’ll try to attach her to the fraud issue that dogged Walz. MPR News host Emily Reese spoke with Flanagan about Minnesota’s evolving political landscape.
