Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement with Barcelona to sign Ferran Torres, according to reports in French and Spanish outlets on Thursday evening. The forward, who scored the match-winner for Spain in the World Cup final, is expected to sign with the European champions for around €50 million.

At the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, France’s Alice Finot was only beaten to another 3000m steeplechase title by Germany’s Gesa Felicitas Krause. Later in the evening, home favourite Amy Hunt made it a sprint double by following up her 100m title with gold in Thursday’s 200m final.
