Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man died to save the universe in Avengers Endgame. And while he’s returning to the MCU as Victor Von Doom in Avengers Doomsday this Christmas, he’s also reprising Tony Stark.
The first behind-the-scenes trailer was unveiled this weekend at D23’s unveiling of Avengers Infinity Defense. The Oscar-winner will be joined by Marvel co-stars Iman Vellani’s Ms Marvel, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, Anthony Mackie’s Captain America and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.
This new Marvel attraction is a Disneyland California Adventure ride at Avengers Campus and the MCU stars’ footage was shot at Pinewood Studios, England, where they’re filming Avengers Doomsday and Avengers Secret Wars. The story is under wraps, but it appears to be a multiverse adventure taking on King Thanos, a variant who was successful in his conquering endeavours. Given that it features Stark and Mackie’s Cap, presumably this is a non-canon story or one set in another universe. On top of this, Downey Jr will also play Iron Man on another new ride called Stark Flight Lab.
