Xbox is partnering with McDonald’s as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations with themed menu items based on six of the brands biggest gaming IPs headed to the fast food restaurant later this year.

McDonald’s teases that the collaboration will include new menu items, each of which will contain “hidden surprises, secret messages, and special features”.

Right now, the six franchises that will be featuring in the Xbox x McDonald’s collab include:

  • Forza Horizon 6
  • Fallout 76
  • Halo Campaign Evolved
  • Candy Crush Saga
  • World of Warcraft
  • Overwatch

There’s currently no word on what all of the new menu items will be. However, the senior vice president and chief marketing officer at McDonald’s UK and Ireland, Tim Kenward, did tease one menu item from Fallout: “As a huge Fallout fan, I’m most excited for the Blamco Cheesy Potato Bites,” he says.

Purchasing these menu items will give gamers rewards for their favourite games. By ordering through the McDonald’s app, gamers will be able to claim the following for each of Xbox’s biggest games:

  • Halo™: Campaign Evolved – Master Chief Armour
  • Forza Horizon™ 6 – Car Voucher
  • Fallout™ 76 – Sugar Bomb Bundle
  • Candy Crush Saga® – Booster Bundle
  • World of Warcraft™ – Red Hot Portable Bakery
  • Overwatch™ – Kiriko Donut Break Emote

McDonald’s hasn’t confirmed exactly when the promotion is set to start, but it’s expected to arrive in the coming months.

Kenward provided the following further comment on the collaboration, saying: “Gaming is all about imagination and the worlds we love to get lost in. What excites me about this partnership is that we’re bringing parts of these iconic gaming worlds to life, giving fans the chance to experience food they have only ever seen on screen.”
