There’s just a few hours left until Rockstar Games finally drops the world’s first official look at GTA 6 gameplay, and it’s all set to appear first on Netflix. Premiering at 8pm BST on August 27, 2026, millions of gamers are likely to be tuning in to watch the presentation as soon as it airs.
However, if you don’t already have a Netflix subscription, you might be wondering how you can get your peelers on the presentation without coughing up six quid for the privilege. There is a way to watch the presentation without paying, but you’ll need to be ok with waiting a few hours.
How to watch the Netflix GTA 6 Extended Look for free
The only official way to watch the Netflix GTA 6 Extended Look presentation for free is to wait six hours for it to be released on YouTube. At 2am BST on August 28, 2026, the game developer will be publishing the entire 26-minute presentation for everyone to view for free, no monthly payments required.
Of course, this isn’t ideal if you’re looking to learn the information as soon as it becomes available. Netflix isn’t allowing any co-streaming of the event, so while you might find people talking about its contents, you likely won’t see many screenshots or videos that aren’t swiftly taken down by Take-Two.
The only other way to watch the GTA 6 Extended Look on Netflix for cheap is if you know someone who has a Netflix account and is willing to let you share their account for an evening.
However, Netflix has been cracking down on password sharing for the last few years, so you’ll need to make sure they’re around and ready to pass you along their two-factor authentication password at the time.
Otherwise, I recommend following along with a live blog, such as my own over on Mirror Online. There, I’ll be watching the Netflix presentation as it happens and reporting all the biggest reveals as they happen.
Will you be tuning in to watch the GTA 6 Extended Look on Netflix, or will you wait until it’s available for free on YouTube?
