Rupert Grint will be playing Ron Weasley in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at New York City’s Lyric Theatre from February 2 until May 30. Speaking with the New York Times, the 38-year-old said: “I can’t wait to meet him again in this stage of life. There is something so full-circle and so special about stepping back into Ron’s shoes now when we are both fathers; it is somehow both very familiar and completely new.” The older Ron is married to Hermione in the Cursed Child play, which is an abridged version of the original two-parter that opened in London a decade ago. The shorter single play is set to open in the West End on October 9.
