A trio of state Republican lawmakers who are members of a legislative fraud committee will brief members of Congress Wednesday on mounting examples of misuse of federal money in some Minnesota social services programs.
The Republican-led U.S. House Oversight Committee hearing comes just days after Gov. Tim Walz abandoned his reelection campaign as fraud allegations continue to dog his administration.

“If we thought that the partisan fireworks would be turned down after Gov. Walz bowed out of the race a couple days ago, that’s certainly not going to be happening,” Lagoe said. “I think we’re very clearly going to be hearing a lot of phrases about complicity and turning a blind eye.”
