Battlefield 6 Season 4 release date and launch time

The brand new Battlefield 6 season has a July 21 release date on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.

The headline new feature for Battlefield 6 is the release of the huge Tsuru Reef map. The latest battleground takes place on a sprawling island chain featuring all manner of tropical vegetation, jagged cliff edges and luxury bungalows. That’s on top of the open ocean and even a dormant volcano.

Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the map is the ability to engage in naval warfare. It’s an opportunity for even more chaos, especially with land and air warfare also a viable option.

Naval warfare will also be the focal point of the next map launching in Season 4, with Wake Island releasing on August 18.

In addition to the Tsuru Reef map, the July 21 update adds the 7.7M NSW RHIB boat, as well as the RCB-90 boat.

REDSEC fans, meanwhile, can expect a new assault rifle, a new carbine and new DMR, not to mention updates to Ranked.

To complement the introduction of naval warfare, EA will upgrade the game’s water, adding a dynamic wave system.

EA explains more: “Oceans create waves, boats can cause wakes, buoyant gadgets and underwater explosions become viable tactics, and bullets can only penetrate the surface as much as their caliber allows.

“Plus, dragging and reviving will be available while in the water, allowing squads to revive shipwrecked allies or those who get caught swimming off dangerous shores.”
