Pokemon Pokopia fans are counting down to the release of the game’s first major piece of downloadable content. Available exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, the first Pokemon Pokopia DLC pack is titled Bubbly Basin. Needless to say, you’ll need to own the base game in order to access the DLC, not to mention the £29.99 Pokopia Season Pass.
The Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass gives users access to three pieces of downloadable content, as well as one or two additional bonuses depending on when you purchase the Season Pass.
Pokemon Pokopia Bubbly Basin DLC release date and time
The good news for Pokemon Pokopia fans is that the imminent Bubbly Basin DLC will be available very soon.
The Bubbly Basin expansion has an August 5 release date and according to a Nintendo spokesperson, has a 2am BST UK release time.
The second expansion is said to add more new features to the game, and will be available in late 2026. It’s worth pointing out that the second expansion won’t add a new town.
Fortunately, the third expansion will add another new town when it launches in 2027.
In addition to the new DLC packs, players who purchase the DLC will receive the dynamic Ditto print recipe, as well as a code for Rare Pokémetal x30 via email. The latter is only available if you purchase the content before August 31, 2027.
Pokemon Pokopia Bubbly Basin new features and how to access
As the name suggests, Bubbly Basin introduces a brand new underwater town for players to explore.
This includes a selection of new Pokemon to discover, new moves to master, and lots of new cosmetics.
According to Nintendo, in order to begin the paid DLC Bubbly Basin, players will need to complete the request Raise the environment level! in Bleak Beach.
Furthermore, make sure you’ve mastered the newly added Dive move, which is available as part of an update.
