Xenoblade Chronicles 2 update v3.01 on Nintendo Switch 2 fixes Amiibo | Gaming | Entertainment

Xenoblade Chronicles fans have been handed a huge boost after Nintendo and developers Monolith Soft issued a new patch. The update to the Switch 2 edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 addresses a number of issues with the new version of the 2017 RPG.

Fans have hailed update v3.01 as being a huge success, with several saying “everything is fixed” as a result of the patch. It includes bug fixes for five problems that have plagued the game since its release on Switch 2 back in July. One of the biggest problems relates to an Amiibo reward during New Game Plus.

Players would find their accessory slots reduced to two from three when receiving Weapon Points as an Amiibo reward during NG+. Another issue that fans were pleased to see fixed was the game’s sound balance.

Gamers have taken to social platforms like Reddit to express their thoughts. One user wrote: “They actually fixed all the major issues with the Switch 2 edition.”

Another added: “Was waiting for them to patch the audio before getting the upgrade.” A third said: “Everyone owes MonolithSoft an apology, they’re still the GOATs.”

The update was issued on Wednesday, August 26. You can check out the full patch notes below.

  • Fixed an issue where the background music and sound effects balance differed from the Nintendo Switch version.

  • Fixed an issue when a Driver joins the party where the Driver will sometimes join with an exorbitant amount of WP.

  • Fixed an issue in which Rex sometimes becomes uncontrollable when switching from Pyra to Mythra during combat.

  • Fixed an issue in which Pouch Item effects did not activate during combat after swapping MOMO to a form other than the one she was in at combat start
