Ubisoft has unveiled players first look at Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Season 3, and it’s set to be the game’s first real challenge to Shield operators. Operation Split Fire will add the brand new operator Noor to the game, with his gadget capable of causing a real nuisance for shield-wielding players.
With this the biggest shake-up to the game’s meta, players will no doubt be looking forward to when the update finally arrives. Here’s the release date for Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Season 3 and what to expect.
Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Season 3 release date
Year 11 Season 3 of Rainbow Six Siege will kick off on September 1, 2026. That’s just under two weeks away at the time of writing.
While Ubisoft hasn’t officially stated a start time for the season just yet, it typically releases new seasons at around 2pm BST here in the UK. Here’s that release time translated to a few other time zones:
Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Season 3 content
The biggest new addition to Rainbow Six Siege in Year 11 Season 3 is the new operator, Noor. He’s equipped with a projectile gadget that can pierce through walls and shields, emitting flames after a short period of time.
This is set to majorly upset the current shield meta in Siege, as shield holders will need to spend a couple of seconds removing the projectile if they get hit with it.
Also arriving in the new season is a brand new Legend Division for ranked play, giving players a new level of prestige to work towards in the competitive game mode.
There’s also a new 3v3 arcade mode coming, as well as targeted map updates that are set to make a few tweaks here and there to existing maps in the game. For this season, it’ll be Villa.
Of course, there’ll be the usual balancing updates and tweaks to certain operators, so keep an eye out for the full patch notes arriving nearer the season launch time.
